Cancellation of contract

In short : I cancelled my Vodacom contract on 8 September 2016. Vodacom has kept on deducting contract fees from my bank account every month up to January 2017 and there is no indication that they will stop. This is theft.

Details : I received my cancellation quote on 6 September 2016. The consultant told me to pay the "Balance of contract" amount on row C of the quote, and that the usage balance will be deducted automatically as per usual on the first day of the next month. I sent the signed cancellation quote, copy of my ID and proof of payment of the contract cancellation fee on 8 September 2016, ********** I received confirmation email from Vodacom on the same day stating that my documents were received and giving me a reference number. On 16 September 2016 I received an email from "Dire" stating that they received the contract cancellation fee, but not the outstanding usage fee and wanted to know when it will be paid. I rep**** on 18 September 2016 explaining that the cancellation team instructed me to only pay the balance of contract fee and not the usage fee, as this will be deducted via debit order on 1 October. I also said that I will check my bank and if the debit order for the usage fee was not effected as promised, that I will pay. On 19 September 2016 Dire rep**** to my email asking the exact same question about when the remainder will be paid, indicating that he clearly cannot understand what he is being told in simple English. I did not respond again.

On 3 October 2016, Vodacom deducted the normal contract fee from my account, not the outstanding usage amount as promised.

On 1 November 2016, Vodacom once again deducted the normal contract fee from my account.

On 1 December 2016, Vodacom once again deducted the normal contract fee from my account.

In total, this now exceeded the outstanding usage amount of September that was to be deducted on 1 October, and Vodacom actually owed me a refund.

On 15 December 2016 I called the cancellations department to inform them of this. (i have a reference number for this call) The consultant told me they are deducting contract fees because my contract only ends in December 2016. I informed her that I cancelled my contract and paid a cancellation fee, so there cannot be contract fees after that. The consultant was confused by this and said she had to speak to the admin department. After speaking to the admin department she told me that they will look into the matter and call me back within 3 working days, that would be 20 December 2016. To this day I have had no phone call from the admin department.

On 3 January 2017 Vodacom once again deducted the normal contract fee from my bank account. This now even after the contract would have ended anyway in December. It is clear that Vodacom has no intention of cancelling my contract or to stop *****ing money from my account.

I tried phoning the cancellations department again today, 5 January 2017, but cannot get through. When calling the department directly on ********** it tells my I don't have a valid contract number, and when transferring to the department from calling 082 111, the line just goes dead.

Can someone who actually knows what it means to CANCEL a contract, please contact me to cancel the contract once and for all and to refund me the money that was *******ly deducted from my bank account?
