Cancellation not processed

On 15 October 2016 I requested an early settlement for both my then active Vodacom accounts. Both Premature Cancellation Quotations were then emailed to me. On 17 October 2016 both my accounts were settled in FULL and all penalties and outstanding fees paid. On 18 October 2016 Vodacom ackowledged receipt of my Payments. I contacted Vodacom to confirm that both my accounts will now be closed. On 2 November 2016 I received a statement for my 2 accounts with a balance due. I contacted Vodacom and informed them. The consultant noted the descrepancy and informed me that it seems as though the accounts have not been closed as I requested and they will rectify the situation. No debit order was processed on the 15 November 2016, which I then presumed meant my account cancellation was processed accordingly. On 15 December 2016 Vodacom continued debiting my account, with an amount HIGHER than the value of my cancelled contracts. I contacted Vodacom on 16 December 2016 and spoke to a consultant who argued in his entirety that all is in order. He then also informed me that Vodacom only closed my account on 23 November 2016, more than 1 MONTH AFTER my accounts were settled. I am still awaiting a return call from VODACOM to rectify this matter.

Dear Client

I would like to apologise for the service received and all the inconvenience caused.

I will create a credit for the charge that was deducted in December. Once approved, it will reflect in your Vodacom account and then a refund will be sent to you bank account. This may take anything between 7 - 14 working days, but I have requested priority.

Kind regards

Vodacom Consumer Website Team
