Cancellation

My 24 month contract expired on 21 June 2020. I was charged for airtime on a promotional sim number in the last month of the contract, June 2020. I was advised that this is how it works. I have attempted to cancel the promotional sim number on several occasions without success. I received another bill for July and the promotional sim number has been charged for again.

The contract expired on 2I June 2020 and I have attempted to have the month to month contract (commencing July 2020) cancelled, but want to keep my number on prepaid. To make matters worse my account is on Vodacom's "Old System" and there are very few Vodacom consultants who have access to this system.

I contacted the cancellations department again yesterday and was advised the promotional sim number would be cancelled and my month to month account would be cancelled and my number transferred to prepaid. I was advised that I would receive an email during the discussion confirming this. I still await the email and confirmation of the cancellations.

There is no accountability and customers get the run around all the time. It may help to introduce a reference number for customers. The consultants are very keen for you to rate their service even though the issue has not been resolved.

I will not pay this account. I am sure someone will contact me. Vodacom are not in the business of customer service. They should loose market share.
