Cancellation dispute

It has taken since 24 May 2021 till today for Vodacom to close an account that was paid for with a cancellation agreement to close the account with immediate effect till today. This account is still open and is affecting my credit rating therefore affecting my ability for my next home to rent.

The contract was started with a debit order monthly of R499 for a period of 3 years. The laptop was faulty firstly which Vodacom stated was Lenovo's problem not theirs so after 18 months of no luck with the laptop nor help from either parties, my mother decided to buy the laptop from me. We went into Vodacom at Gateway and signed cancellation documents and paid in R8882, 41 to close this account with immediate effect. I have now been told that I was charged the next month another amount of R499 for service charge and R198 for the data usage and this amount was doubled because the debit order was stopped.

I am sorry but closing an account with immediate effect and paying a lump sum of R8882, 41 means closing the account FULL STOP!

I feel ****** by the fact that they keep charging me un beknown to me and gave me a laptop that was supposed to be a great top of the range 8th generation, i7 Lenovo that did not even work and took 30 minutes to even turn on (beofre anything was even loaded onto it).
