Canceling a Vodacom Contract Prematurely

When it comes to cancellation. Vodacom will charge full amount for remainder of the contract, but yet they wont give you any airtime or data for that period. Why cant they come up with a correct cancellation figure that does not include data and airtime since we will be getting nothing of the sort after cancellation.
