Can't upgrade due to payment method - VODACOM

Good day Guys. I had a very unpleasant experience with Vodacom today. I would just like to mention that I am a valuable contract client with Vodacom. Spending about +- R6*** per month on my contracts. Well I went to the Sasolburg Branch yesterday to enquire about my contract upgrade, which is almost due today in fact. The kind consultant took my details and said unfortunately she can only process it today due to the upgrade date only being on the 5th of June. This was perfect with me. I chose the new phone I want and she said she will give me a call. What a great feeling it is to know you are getting a new phone. I basically spent the whole night till I got home till I went to sleep reading reviews and so forth on this cellphone, highly excited. Today she gave me a call just after 9, it began with ' Mr van Wieren I've got some bad news...' I was surprised though, my thought was the phone is going to take a few weeks for delivery, or the Samsung Gear Sport is not available.... But no it was not. She said I cannot upgrade without making a cash deposit, and this is on all the contracts form top-up, which these days are called u choose top-up, up to the Red Advanced. None of them will be free, but the monthly instalment remains the same. I have been a client with them for some time, a few years. So I asked her why is this? She explained that because my payments are not on debit order this is why. I just upgraded one of my contracts in February with an iPhone 6S and I upgraded to contract as well to a Red Advanced. This was a real embarrassment to me as all their competitors approve me instantly, but I would like to remain a Vodacom client. So can you please explain to me what makes me different from the guy next to me having an account with Vodacom? Whether you pay by debit order or eft, it must still be paid or your signal gets cut, right or not? So from last year this account has been on eft payments and now all of a sudden it is an issue? I may have asked for pay date extensions but I have always paid?? Just like the guy who's account is on debit order, correct? Last month I had an account of R7370, and it was paid. This month its R6400 I think and it will be paid. I have explained to you previously that I am running a business and my money only comes in from the 2-3rd of the next month. If this is the case I will not upgrade with you guys again on any of my contracts and I will start cancelling them one by one. But is this the way you are just going to throw away your clients? This means in future I will have to pay in on all my contracts?

Hope you can Help. I am awaiting your response.

Regards

Levon van Wieren
