Can't do sim swap with a temporary ID?

<p>Called customer care to do a prepaid sim swap, they told me i failed the verification and should go to the branch. Today i went to Vodacom branch at wonderpark mall the lady says i can't do a sim swap with a temporary ID. Does this mean i have to wait until home affairs decides my ID is ready? I simply don't see the use of even having a temporary ID if thats the case. </p>
