Call centre frustration
I am a victim of identity theft and the ***** took out a cellphone contract using my details at a Hicell store (an approved Vodacom dealer) After realizing this I contacted Vodacom to cancel the contract. I was given instructions that I would need to submit an affidavit and certified copy of my ID. I did this and was given a reference number by the legal department. After 1 day I followed up to hear if any progress was made. I was transferred so many times that I eventually gave up after two and a half hours. Needless to say, the contract is still active, I cannot gain any information on where it was taken out and by whom (because they did not follow NCR regulations) or get any documentation that the ********* used in the application process to try and catch him. Thank you Vodacom for making it VERY difficult to combat *****.
