Call centre about as useful as a chocolate teapot

I phoned the call centre at Vodacom to cancel my contract and ask them how much it would cost to terminate with 3 months left . This was Tuesday 5th September 2017 . I had already phoned on Monday 4th September 2017 and spoke to somebody but they told me they could not give me a quote because they would not be working the following day and I must phone back !!! Strange but anyway I did phone back on Tuesday and then the confusion started . I spoke to Precious who told me I was in the Contract Money dept and needed to speak to the cancellation dept . After taking all details Precious said there was problem with my account and I had been overcharged for 1 gig for the 21 months !! This was after asking me why I was cancelling the contract . She told me that she would not charge me for the 1 gig going forward , but I explained that I wanted nothing to do with Vodacom at all because of a previous nightmare that took 9 months to resolve . Then I was put through to Amanda at the cancellation dept who after looking up my profile told me I had app**** for an upgrade ??? I explained again my needs and security check and was told I must phone the legal dept on ********** . Precious then phoned me back to see if I had been assisted which was very good of her but then I was given a reference number of 1/ ********** ********** to get a termination quote within 3 days . I was not happy with this and then I was told that I must get a cancellation on the upgrade and then cancel the cancellation !! It gets worse .......I was put through to Vuyelwa who is also in Contract Money dept who told me I was in the wrong dept . She put me trough to somebody else who said I was in the upgrade department and I must cancel my cancellation so I could be refunded the R150.00 per month that I had been overcharged for 21 months ie R3150.00 , then I must pay a termination fee of R2167.00 . After about 3 hours I was totally confused if I was upgrading or terminating the contract and was told they would get back to me within 14 days . Now all this is after emails to the CEOs office who said they would assist and get the supervisor involved . I am sick and tired of Vodacom and just want a straight answer so I can cancel the contract and go to another service provider at half the price for double the benefits . Vodacom actually owe me R983.00 but I am not concerned about that I just want my contract terminated . Is that to much to ask ??
