Bul**** by Vodacom!!!

I cancelled my Vodacom contract last year Feb/March by paying them the settlement amount, as given to us by the Cancellations department. Vodacom then ported my number to Cell C and I thought that was the end of that. Not so! Vodacom phoned me in late January 2017 to tell me that I owe them money and if I dont pay, they will blacklist me. I was told to phone the cancellations department. I duly did this and as I do not have a Vodacom number or contract, it is impossible to speak to a human in the Cancellations department. Everything is automated and requires the number you are calling about...said number doesn't exist on the Vodacom system, despite them wanting money from me! After spending time Googling other contact number for Vodacom, I managed to get hold of Customer Service who are unable to assist and insist I speak with Cancellations. Eventually I find a helpful soul who managed to bypass the automated system and get me someone in Cancellations, but alas, they tell me it is not a Cancellations issue, but an Accounts department issue and duly transferred me. Accounts believed it was not their issue but rather that of Cancellations and transferred me before I could stop them, needless to say, after a 45 minute phone call (at my expense), I got cut off because my number does not exist on the Vodacom system. I called back and supposedly managed to 'log a dispute' but was not given a reference number (I was told that I would be called within 2-3 hours and if I did not answer my phone then I had to call back and log another dispute as they do not phone twice!!!) so after a few days and an SMS or two from Vodacom telling me I owed them money, I called back and finally got hold of someone who logged the dispute with both Cancellations (Ref # 1- ********** ********** ) and Collections (Ref #: 1- ********** ********** ) and was told I would hear from them in 3-5 days. That was on 14/02/2017. Needless to say, I didn't hear a word (and incorrectly assumed they'd seen the error of their ways) and received aother SMS from them. I duly called back AGAIN!!! Quite ridiculous but I am an honest person who doesn't like to owe or be accused of owing money, but I also refuse to be BUL**** into paying with threats of blacklisting and then making it impossible to resolve the issue. So I called Customer Service again, the only department where it's possible to speak to a human and after being very understanding of my situation and empathising, they transferred me back to Cancellations where I once again, got cut off with the message 'call back with the correct number'. So, I am just desperate to resolve this issue which is so negative and is consuming a lot of my time, In summary, I cancelled my contract in writing, bought my self out of the contract by paying over R6 600.00, Vodacom ported ny number to Cell C and then claim I haven't cancelled my contract. Is there any logic to this??? Hoping someone in Vodacom will sort this issue out quickly.
