Broken TV

So today I received my TV, which was meant to be a gift for my mother (hence that order had a different address) excited as I was after delivery I rushed there to mount it for her, I take it out of the box….on the bed to test it, and I find that it has a crack on the lower right of the screen…..so I’m thinking to myself let me just mount it in the mean time until I take this matter up with Vodacom/Samsung…only to find out after mounting and plugging it in that the TV is not even displaying anything at all…I was defeated (I left it on the wall), I am not sure is it happened during transit kr what but I received a broken tv…very disappointing realy…..can this be sorted out please…and with all that may I request whoever is delivering to kindly test the tv before leaving to make sure it’s working fine, to avoid such

I spoke to one of the resolution agents yesterday, although a bit unsure she mentiomed that because this was a bundle deal (home internet deal plus tv) that the entire order will have to be recalled, now that I’ve thought about it, it homestly doesn’t make sense one bit….the internet is fine why would everything need to be recalled?? I am however still awaiting feedback as she needs to consult with Onlime and revert back…..but that resolution wouldn’t make sense if that’s the case…

I am deeply disappointed by the service I received this time around from Vodacom, a week went by, no feedback or any word from Vodacom, just silence…I pay almost R5000 a month for this type of treatment?? Does this realy need to go via the Ombudsman to get a resolution,??
