Broken Promises and Suspended Services

<p>The changing of bank card details necessitated contacting the Collections department to inform them of the change so that service would not be suspended. Collections was contacted and the new details were provided in advance of the change. <br />The response was a promised call back within 24 hours to confirm that the change had been made successfully. To follow is a brief account of the events that led up to the service of a corporate customer being suspended;<br /><br />2nd September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received<br />6th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>9th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>12th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>15th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>19th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>26th September: Corporate service for multiple cellphones suspended.</p> <p>27th September: Call centre contacted. Promised to call back - No call received</p> <p>27th September: Executive Client Liason Officer Contacted - advised that matter would be escalated</p> <p>28th September: Call centre contacted. Operator advised that new card details on record but service could not be reactivated without immediate payment via EFT. EFT made and services reinstated. </p> <p> </p> <p>In total, at least 10 calls were made to the call centre over the last month in an attempt to preemptively solve the problem, and subsequently to solve the problem. In total, about 10 hours of professional time was lost following up on promises not kept, with additional time being lost due to the suspension of service. Correspondance took place with;</p> <p>Gugu</p> <p>Nomsa</p> <p>Tembeni</p> <p>Monique</p> <p>Lumpa</p> <p>Lerato</p> <p>-All promised to call back and never did. </p> <p> </p> <p>It is no wonder that hellopeter.com receives about 6 complaints per daylight hour largely regarding customer services for this company. </p> <p> </p>
