On 11/12/16 we went into a Vodashop for my wife is due for an upgrade on her contract. The salesperson told us to rather go to MTN for they have better packages available... That should have shown us as loyal Vodacom subscribers the RED light. Never the less, we walk out and on 12/12/16 I called the online upgrade department to discuss options available, I spoke to Oscar Shempe and he assured me that he can do a great deal for us. The deal he structured was for a Samsung S7 Flat + Samsung Tab Lite at R599 - this included 1gig data, 100sms and R200 airtime (according to him 166 minutes)- the package is a uChooseFlexi200. I comfirmed with Oscar that he had stock on both devices and that the offer is valid for the duration of the contract period of 24 months, i.e. airtime, data and sms.

I then asked him to call my wife and complete the upgrade. Oscar made contact and then everything started going pear shaped... First he informed her he did not have stock on the devices, he put her on hold for 25 minutes. Then he called her back and said that he got stock but will call her the next day to conclude the upgrade in order for her to have the devices on the 14th. Only on 14/12/16 he called back and appologised for the inconvenience, he then stated that he will throw in VR goggles as well as he will give her a pro rata 1gig data. He then informed her that he is waiting for a code from IT to complete the upgrade which will happen the same day. She tried contacting Oscar on the 19th and 20th but no luck, Itried getting hold of Oscar and eventually on the 28th of December spoke to another consultant which advised us that there is no such offer that was made, we were offer something totally different at a higher cost which is unacceptable and I asked the consultant that a team leader get back to us in order to pull the recordings and reslove the issue. up to this point nobody made contact with us regarding the matter. We even submitted my wife's detail on the online shop to be called back but by the looks of things Vodacom does not want to keep their loyal clients anymore... Maybe MTN is the next stop for they might just appreciate their loyal clients?
