Breach of POPI Act

Vodacom have violated the POPI Act!

My personal information (ID, bank account info, Proof of address etc.) were used *****ulantly to open a new iPhone Contract in May 2016.

I contacted Vodacom and was told the process takes 14-21 days to investigate.

I had to follow up to see what was going on with their investigation.

Customer service apologises for the delay after a month and confirms *****.

I follow up on why Vodacom violated the POPI Act and failed to keep my personal info in tact and not open to abuse - no response to date!

I follow up (again, no follow up from Vodacom) on my refund & told again 7-14 working days to process.

Now I am following up on the refund - 7-14 working days to process!

Please advise how I can escalate this to the regulator as I have given Vodacom adequte time to address this issue. They simply ignore their customers and have no respect for the protection on personal information in terms of the POPI Act.
