Breach of Contract

I upgraded my contract in November. Part of the upgrade offer was 10GB of data for 30 days. Was told in the store that since a couple of days had passed in Nov, the data would be given in December so I have a full 30 days.

On 1 December I had received no data. I started calling the call center, was on hold for 2 hours and was finally told The query would be resolved by the end of the day.

On Friday I was told it would be 24 hours, but they would call me with feedback. On Friday afternoon I was told 48 hours but they would call me with feedback by 18:00.

On Saturday I was told that the query was still open so they can't help me, but they would call me with feedback.

On Sunday morning I was told that the people handling the queries do not work on a Sunday.

I never received ONE call, but I have to keep calling the call center.

If I don't have my data by Monday afternoon, I will cancel my contract, and I will not pay a single cent in penalty fees. Vodacom breached their agreement with me. The call center is either ***********, or they simply don't care about their customers.

Reviewer Update

I have now been waiting the whole day for someone at Vodacom to contact me.

I finally called the call center again, only to be told that it would now take 7 business days to resolve the original 24 hour query.

For me this is a clear indication of exactly how much Vodacom values their clients.

If nothing is being done, at least have the decency to let me know so that I can now cancel the contract and move to a competitor.
