BREACH OF CONTRACT

In May I decided to move from MTN to Vodacom (MTN reception in my area is horrible). I had an old Vodacom Sim card which was due for an upgrade on 10 May. I did the upgrade to Red Advantage(from Smart S). The contract I signed said I would be on the new contract from 1 June and also that I would receive a Bluetooth Speaker and 10 Gigs once off data. When I got home I noticed no Bluetooth Speaker, I returned to the shop the following day and received the speaker. Honest mistake, I thought and asked about the 10 Gigs as well.

I was told it would be activated on 1 June with me new Contract. On 7 June my line was suspended as I had reached my Mandatory Credit limit which I considered strange as I had 1 Gig of data(and the 10 Gigs of once off data) plus 700 minutes anytime and unlimited smses.

Its not possible to run out. Only to be told that they didnt activate the Red advantage plan and I was still on Smart S. So I was paying out of bundle rates. BREACH OF CONTRACT! My line was opened and Red Advantage activated once I said I would cancel the contract. Since then my line has been suspended 3 times due to this credit limit. Everytime I have called, I have been told that it has been lifted. And now a 4th time I have been cut off. If I am believed to not be able to afford the current contract then surely this is a violation of the National Credit Act? BREACH OF CONTRACT!

It is now the 7th of July and the once off 10 Gigs Data??? Not to be seen!! BREACH OF CONTRACT!

Please can some one assist as to how I can return the phone and cancel the contract immediately! MTN never gave me problems to this extent.

VODACOM SUCKS and has cost me time and money as I have been unable to contact clients due to Vodacom's incompetence!

Kevin Hurter
