breach of contract

In early January 2018 one of Vodacoms consultants of the marketing team phoned me for an upgrade. I agreed to it as it made better sense in comparison to the current contract that I had. However, as from the first February I have not been given what was promised to me. In fact, I have zero airtime, zero sms’s and zero data. I have been phoning the call center on numerous occasions and every time it’s the same story, that it’s with the IT guys and will be escalated and they must put through the migration. As yet nothing has transpired. I still have no airtime, sms’s and data. On my February billing my upgrade amount is stipulated but I received no allocation for the month. What sickens me is the fact that I have a contract that must be paid by the first of every month. One day late with payment then the phone gets soft-lock. Vodacom and its staff does not care about my inconvenience as long as they get their money. I want to re-interate my disappointment and disgust with Vodacom. In March I did not get my full allocation as per my top up agreement. As a tour guide, I chose Vodacom as they have the most widely spread reception coverage. Just to tell you about the inconvenience that Vodacom caused me. I was on tour and one of my clients got sick. I had to drive for two hours as I was unable to phone for emergency help. If anything had to happen to that tourist, would Vodacom take responsibility for that? I had to buy another cell phone and sim card in order to communicate with the relevant people. Regards, E Rhode
