BREACH OF CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT AND POOR SERVICE

I have been both a business and private customer with contracts with Vodacom for 30 years. This complaint relates too: Account No -***X - which includes contracts for 4 cellphones. We are being harassed , daily, by contractors of Vodacom to upgrade cellphones noted under this account. We receive in excess of 10 calls per day and as such we are unable to correctly do our work due to said interruptions of Vodacom marketing /contractors/sales staff. This is not the first time - during August to November 2023 we had the same situation. Despite logging customer service complaints, trying to contact Vodacom Corporate etc, we struggled to get a resolution.

Please could the ICASA review our complaint and advise in that we are now unable to work due to phones constant ringing with upgrade/marketing queries. Furthermore , it is our considered opinion that Vodacom are in breach of the Consumer Protection Act by distributing our contact details to their contractors without our marketing consent.

Reviewer Update
So Ferguson from Vodacom " Hello Peter" department contacted me this morning. Seemed both indifferent to my complaint and less than understanding to the issue at hand. In fact ,a bit of a superior condescending attitude in my considered opinion. Ferguson stated that 1) He would not give me his full details e.g surname, 2) would not give me his email address, 3) he was the most senior person in his department and I had to deal with him, 4) that any managers were in the proverbial Vodacom meeting and can't take my call , 5) that , on my question of compensation , that he can categorically state, Vodacom has never, and never will pay compensation for an issue as raised in my complaint. I carefully explained to Ferguson that he should choose his words and comments wisely in that I had been compensated for this exact issue in November 2023. He was factually incorrect. I then read to him the emails in substantiation of this and helped him find the credit for said compensation paid in November. Said I would email it to him on the email he gave me for Vodacom replies -heres how that went - email not working or whatever - Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now.
So now am waiting for a Mr Bradley Booysen ,a manager of " Hellopeter" team to call me when he gets out of his meeting per Ferguson. Will update as matters progress. Vodacom , poor service and hopefully ICASA will assist with my formal complaint written in copy to Vodacom CEO
