Box delivered with no 'phone?

I have been a contract client of Vodacom for many years, mostly happy, but occassionally frustrated and upset to distraction. I have now tried to renew my 24 moth contract and upgrade with a new 'phone and more expensive contract (successfully done a few times in the past), and opted to do it "on-line", as it worked well previously. I did the upfrade on Sunday the 7th May. with the idea of letting my wife have the new upgraded 'phone (an R11000 Samsung S7) for Mothers day (I am still happy with my iPhone). RAM hand to hand couriers duly frlivered a box with Vodacom stickers enclosing it on Tuesday 9th May. The courier left and I opened the box. 1 x sim card, 1 x voucher, NO 'PHONE! So I called RAM - "We just deliver". Call Vodacom - transferred to 4 different people, explaining every time, and 26 minutes later "A supervisor will ca;; you back". No call received. Phone again on Wednesday 10th May, spoke to 5 different people and after more than 1/2 hour "a supervisor will call you back. We are investigating>' Today is 15th May, no 'phone call from Vodacom. no 'phone, and seemingly no one interested in taking responsibility for living up to the contract that I have with Vodacom.

Investigating? I took out insurance on the 'phone. Send me a phone (takes 24 hours) and claim from insurance. There, I have a solution to keep your paying customer happy while you sort your supplier out. Not even a 'phone call to me. Get your priorities right!
