Bought contract phones with Vodacom (Carnival Mall), it was faulty within less than 7 days, they refuse to give me new phone and I cant cancel the contract

Good day,

I bought 2 Hisense H50 phones on contract, on 25th June 2021. The speaker was faulty and, I cannot hear calls, voice messages, I cannot even hear music. wrote an email reporting it. The Vodacom shop manager (Neal Lensly) in Carnival mall responded by email stating that I can bring the phone back, as it was within 7 days of purchase.

I went and the technician checked the phone the technician confirmed that it was indeed faulty, and said it will be sent for assessment. The manager refused to give me another phone, he stated that I have to wait for 14 days for that phone to be fixed. I then questioned how can I be using a phone that is already fixed within less than a week of me using it and yet I am expected to pay for this faulty phone for 24 months.

It was a long argument with a lot of ************, threatening to sue me as I said I'm gonna bring back the 2nd phone (as I didn't trust the brand) I even requested to be given another phone at the same value, still refused and I left both phones with them. He said they won't take responsibility for them and the phones would be will be ******. I said to him I am canceling the contract (As it was less than 7 days), he refused and said that I've signed I'm not allowed to cancel or else I will pay triple the amount, he gave me false information.

I bought back the 2nd phone request to cancel the contract they gave me the number to call stating that they don't do cancellations in-store. I called the number, they said they can't do it on the phone I have it go back to back to the shop. I ended up leaving the phone with the sales lady I reported the matter to customer care with no response up to this far I then I called the customer care line and then I was told that the matter will be handed to solution experts. After numerous messages which say I must rate interaction with Linda Mkhize of which I've never spoken to. Linda Mkhize only sent an email that says I must go back to the shop where I did the upgrade and sort it out with them.

I cannot go through that trauma of humiliation, threats, ************, and frustration that I've experienced.

Please assist in terminating my contract the phone was faulty and I took it back on the 6th day.

Due to the treatment from your Vodacom store Manager Neal, I don't want anything ever to do with Vodacom. I still stand by my word, I am cancelling the contract as I stated to Neal. It is within my right to do so, and its within less than seven days that I took the phones back and cancelled.. You sell me a faulty phone and you treat your customers like trash threating to sue them, then you expect me and my money to stick around..
No thank you. I want NOTHING TO DO WITH VODACOM.
