Blame it on the system

On Monday 16 January 2017 at 08:08 I received an sms from Vodacom, saying that I've been given 1GB data free for the next 3 days. The same message stated that my free data was valid till 17 January 2017. I couldn't get my head around this, as 3 days from the 16th, would have to be until the 18th, given the time of the sms. So I phoned in and spoke to Bridget, and she told me that according to their system, the free data had been allocated on the 15th (Sunday) at 21:03. Wow. It took Vodacom 11 hours to notify me of my gift. And then they wonder why people complain about their service. The poor system is usually the scape goat, but a human being developed said system. Get him to rectify the problem, or get someone else who can do it. It is unacceptable for a company of Vodacom's stature to have a delay of 11 hours in notifying a paying customer of any activity, and then the call centre assistant just shrugs it off as a gltich in the system.
