Blacklisting without authority

My cellphone stopped working on the 3 July 2019 at 4pm. It was in my possession and then I was unable to make calls or send SMSs. It had an MM error. I called vodacom that evening to assist with the issue. They said they are having technical difficulties and the issue should be sorted out my the next morning. I researched the error and people advised that my phone was blacklisted, not sure how because it was in my possession.

On the 4th- i called vodacom again and they advised that my phone was indeed blacklisted, they could not tell me who or when it was blacklisted. They said that i needed to get a police affidavit to get my phone unblacklisted. I took time off work that day to get the process done even though this was not my fault. I submitted documentation and was told at 11.20am on the 4th that the process had began and it take 24hrs and my cellphone must be off. I rated vodacom badly that night via SMS

On the 5th a consultant called me to inform me she is taking over my case, she will get a status update. She confirms that there was a system issue the day before and the unblacklisting process had not began. She had to close the old case and start all over again.

The old case got closed the morning of the 6th only.

This morning the 8th I get a msg to say that the new case has been closed, but surprise surprise my phone is STILL BLACKLISTED!!!!! I email the consultant dealing with my case. No response, i call the call centre and they have to send it to the next step apparently. So 6 days later and I am still without a phone. Vodacom staff are *********** and there systems are uselss.

There is no control measures in place what so ever. Each time we go through a strict verification process to get information yet someones phone can be blacklisted withiut consent or knowledge.
