Blacklisted phone not ****** or account in arrears.

Before you send your phone for a repair to Vodacom when the sim card does not make contact, make sure that the phone is not blacklisted. Why? Vodacom tries to fix it and send it back with a "RNR" sticker. "Return without repair" sticker to the dealer without an explanation why it was not repaired. Dealer phoned Vodacom - phone is not broken, but blacklisted, but without an explanation. Four weeks later after a 3 week repair and one week waiting to un-blacklist the phone - still blacklisted. My account is not in arrears.

Reviewer Update
It took a full month to de-blacklist the phone. There is not good communication between the technician, the dealer and the blacklisting department. Why did the technician not contacted the dealer or why did the blacklisting department not sent a copy of the letter to the dealer to the riskteamsubscribercollections? It is a chain of actions of bad communication and graciousness between the different elements of Vodacom. Maybe the company is too big, clumsy, bulky, inelegant and monstrous. And why should it not be? There is not much competition.
