Blacklisted Cellphone
Good day,
How would you as Vodacom like to be treated this badly by one of your service providers????
I went to Vodacom N1 city in the week of 24th October 2022 to blacklist my son's ****** phone. To ensure we have all the correct information, we took the actual phone box, containing all the information relating to the phone. The consultant "Enrico" proceeded to assist us. For some reason he could not get the blacklisting processed on the 'system'. He then told me he will keep trying and let me know when he succeeded with the process. I left my cellphone number as well as my wife's details with him.
On 31st October 2022 , he contacted me to inform me he had successfully blacklisted my son's phone.
On 1st November 2022, I noticed I am unable to use my phone, I thought perhaps its a network issue. I could not even call the Vodacom customer service number. My colleagues who are using Vodacom network, could all utilize their phones.
When I arrived home, all my messages etc updated as I connected to my Wifi, I contacted Vodacom and they informed me that MY device has been blacklisted.
I proceeded to Vodacom N1 city to enquire what the F was going on. Enrico informed me that he cannot understand how this happened. He then informed me to obtain an affidavit in order for Vodacom to 'un blacklist' my phone.
I was not impressed as this was a mistake on Vodacom's side and they needed to rectify this. I did the affidavit and returned to Vodacom to which Enrico told me he will process this application before the store closed and I can expect this to be resolved between 24-48 hours.
The next day, the Wednesday 2nd November I went to Vodacom N1 city to do a follow up, to my surprise Enrico was off for the day and he did not process my application.
His colleague Remano then proceeded to assist me, to date without success.
I have been dealing with the branch manager Rochelle since Friday 4th November 2022. To date my phone is still black listed.
Due to Vodacom staff incompetence, I have now been unable to utilise my phone for 6 days, going on to 7 days. I have lost so much money as people are unable to contact me if I am not connected to WIFI.
Should something happen to me whilst on the road and not being able to utilise my phone, I will take legal action against Vodacom.
Please resolve this matter URGENTLY
