Black Friday Nokia 8 Sirocco deal that didn't exist!
No response or further communication on an ordered Black Friday deal.
They advertised the Nokia 8 Sirocco on their website on Black Friday - which I app**** for at around 9:00 in the morning. Their site allowed me to process this order all the way to completion, giving no indication of stock not being available or anything of the sort!
I then received two emails - one providing me confirmation of my application with a reference number - firstly the email clearly states in the order detail section - 'STOCK AVAILABLE ONLINE', secondly it states that a call centre agent will now call you. Guess what, no call even up to today.
The second email was one informing me of the Vetting application notification - I have a reference number for this as well.
After these two email I have received no further communication from Vodacom - they have shown that no matter how big they are, they still have shady business practices - I don't believe that they even had many of these phones, they just used the special to drive customers to their site in the hope they would buy something else! Yeah, short on ethics for sure!
Clearly those reference numbers mean nothing. I sent a follow up mail querying this 'contract' application - no response as yet!
Thank you VODACON - I awaited patiently to purchase a phone on black friday - and due to me 'getting' this deal, I did not purchase any of the other specials from your competitors. It seems like I am the one left with egg on my face, as you don't care about potential customers!
Might I suggest a rolling stock on hand counter for your online store - many other stores operating in this day have this simple feature - surely it is not that hard to develop for your site? Or is it that you don't want customers to know this, so you can drive numbers to your site. Poor form!
