Billing on Close Contract

On 18 April 2016 requested Vodacom to provide settlement letter to terminate my main contract, received settlement letter on the same day with a settlement amount of R8,399.46. I paid the settlement amount at Vodacom shop Menlyn mall on 23 April 2016 and submitted proof of payment to Vodacom cancellations department on 27 April 2016 and further called the cancellations deparment to inform them of the proof of payment sent to them.

I kept on receiving monthly statements from vodacom on the same contract that i cancelled. upon enquiry at Vodacom Brooklyn on 25 July 2016, i was informed that Cancellations department de-activated the contract however Accounts department did not as they indicated that they were not informed that the contract is no longer active.

I was then requested the re-submit the same proof of payment i initiallt sent on 27 Aptil 2016 again and also asked to lodge a dispute on the same day 25 July 2016. i received a dispute reference number of: INC ********** 90497.

The incident lodged was never resolved despite several follow ups having been made to the dispute lodged and the statement for August came through with a bill of R5 115.49.

On 31 August 2016, an amout of R5 115.49 was deducted from my account without my consent.

Vodacom has not explained to me why was i charged the amount highlighted above without my authority despite having a pending dispute which has never been resolved since 25 July 2016.
