Billing *****

Once again, I have a high data bill for my home modem, 2nd month in a row.

I have now gone back into my records and this is what I have found:
On average for the past 2 years, I have spent approx 500 ZAR - ZAR 2000 per month on my modem. The highest being when I was working from home. I lost my job on 26 May and my laptop was handed in. On 28 May, I moved in with a friend - and was only home once a week at most to check on the place. Yet, I received a bill of 10k for June.
Today, ZAR 5228 was deducted from my account for data on my modem which is ridiculous as I have been living elsewhere waiting for someone to rent out the place. I left the modem at my house in the study - where it always is, the password is the key at the bottom of the modem. I am absolutely horrified by what has transpired as I am a really good customer spending quite a considerable amount of money (3k - 6k per month) on my actual mobile phone. I had no need for the modem, so much so - that I cancelled the service on 31 July. Today someone from Data services called me and told me its my problem as it was my modem even though I explained all this to him. I think I need to re-think my service provider.
