Billing and contact details

I signed up for a fibre line contract on the 11 May 2021. The line was installed on the 22 May and activated on the 25 May. Sadly, that's where the customer service ended. On the 14 July my router was damaged due to a power outage. I called the service desk on the 15 July to report the matter, the technician tried to troubleshoot, after an hour and telling him the actual device was damaged, he said he will report it. Unfortunately, he did not give me an SR number, neither did I receive an email or sms. I called again on the 16 July and the 17th July. This time I spoke with an Amanda, who logged 2 SR's. One for the damaged router and the other for my billing issue (I also mentioned to her that I have not received an invoice and that no payment has gone off from my account since we had the line activated). I further mentioned that I don’t want to get a nasty surprise when my debit order eventually goes off. She asked if my debit order was scheduled for the 02nd of the month and I responded that I’ve requested the 25th. At this stage I didn't think much of it, although I was confused, as I would never schedule a debit order for the 2nd of the month. She then updated my email address on the system. Again, I didn't think that a different address could have been loaded. I received the 2 SR's for this call - via sms & email. Then it was a repeat of having to through various technicians trying to fix the device remotely, when I told them that the device is damaged. I eventually resorted to logging a complaint on Instagram on the 25 July and after back-and-forth messages, a technician finally came out on the 31 July. Oh and before he came out, one of the technicians actually told me to go to the nearest store to get the router replaced. Yeah, don’t do that, I wasted my time standing in a long queue on a Sunday only to be told, it’s a fibre router, they don’t keep stock and they couldn’t even test it. So bear in mind that I had no internet connectivity during this time. The technician immediately stated that the device was damaged and replaced it with a new one. Something I tried to tell the technicians with my limited knowledge. Onto my 2nd complaint. Again, I noticed that no payment went off from my account. I decided to log another post on IG, since I actually received some sort of feedback the first time around. I stated that I scheduled payment for the 25th, that I have received invoices since the email address was updated but one thing I failed to check was the contact details, a different address was on the invoice. After a day, I followed up again and this time was contacted by Dudu, who then told me that they have an ABSA account recorded. I have an FNB account. I was then told to go to a store to (1) update my contact details, (2) update my banking details and (3) make payment. Well, I just returned from your store at Reds Mall without having completed any of the 3 things listed. After wasting an hour out of my work time, the consultant put me on the phone with a customer care agent (again) I repeated everything I've said before, received another SR number. I then tried to make payment, guess what, the account number couldn't be found in your system, in fact, every time the consultant tried to log in, she got an error message. AGAIN the customer care line was called, AGAIN I had to repeat my name, surname, email address, ID number. And all I wanted to do was to bring my account up to date and make sure my details are corrected in the system. And yet, it seems like asking for the impossible. And to add insult to injury, your banking details are not listed on any of the invoices. The poor Nomsa at your Redds Mall store pleaded with me to go make a payment at Standard Bank, and yes, I refused to go to a bank. How can I make a payment, with a reference number that cannot even be picked up by your consultants? Also, could the person that captured the contract details not make sure that the contact details are correct? I want this issue to be resolved, I cannot go to another branch to get my details updated. And no, I’m not going to a bank to make payment. I have wasted enough of my energy and time trying to fix someone else’s errors. Just for the record, I requested a copy of the quote, checked my contact details and I'm baffled how incorrect information could have been copied across.

Still waiting on someone to call me. Today I'm going to pay the account in full, as I cannot allow incompetence on the part of Vodacom to affect my credit record. And yes, I am cancelling this contract. I have never experienced such ***********, do not care, attitude from a service provider.
