Billed for Vodacom 5GB data bundle we did not purchase!

On 1st Feb my husband received an sms congratulating him on his purchase of a 5GB data bundle - he did NOT make this purchase! He reported it to Vodacom 2nd Feb & after days of phonecalls - mostly waiting on hold - and being told that the Vodacom system showed he had dialled a ridiculous combo of #'s, *'s and digits to purchase this bundle (he must have a VERY sophisticated pocket!) he was told the issue had been resolved, the purchase reversed & he would NOT be billed for it. They also said a "special task team" had been assigned to find out how this purchase had happened without his action. HOWEVER, come 1st March the R505 for the 5GB Data Bundle Fee was, of course, deducted from our bank account by Vodacom! When he reported it AGAIN he was passed from call agent to agent to each of whom he had to tell his whole story again and again. After over an hour on the phone, & him very nearly bursting every blood vessel in his body, he was told it was being dealt with & someone would call him back. Needless to say he's heard nothing back so this morning he called in again. He was told they had to log a new call and he would have to wait SEVEN DAYS for this call to be escalated!!!! Seriously Vodacom? This is completely unacceptable! You have ****** our money of which we have not a cent to spare! What must my husband do to get our money back? In sheer desperation he is on the verge of reporting a case of theft at the Police Station??????

Thank you Vodacom for your prompt communication and commitment to crediting us for the amount - it's just a pity that we had to resort to a social media platform to get this action rather than through your Customer Care system. I have also just realised that it isn't really resolved until the credit is actually reflected on our next Statement. Seeing will be believing!
