Billed after I did not renew contract

11th of April 2016 I informed Vodacom that I would not be renewing my contract. My contract was due to be renewed on the 11th of May 2016. A call centre agent and an SMS from Vodacom informed me that I needed to have utilised all by data and airtime by the 31st of May, as I would start on a zero balance on the new pre-paid account on the 1st of June 2016. I have been billed and debited R436.88 ( the amount was due on the 31st of May 2016), on the 1st of June – I bought airtime and data. I have just been invoiced for R 65.12 (10/06/2016). Why am I still being charged when I am no longer on contract? I have called Vodacom multiple times this week (6-10 June 2016). I have been sent from pillar to post between prepaid, contract and billing departments. The matter has not been resolved. It has been painful relaying the same matter to different call centre agents across different departments in Vodacom.

This has been poorly handled, I have been a loyal customer to Vodacom (for many years) and I have experienced the worst brand promise through Vodacom. They clearly do not value me as a consumer of their product.

In the 21st century, one would think that this was an easy fix or clarity could have been handled over the telephone (hence the existence of the call centre) rather than inconveniencing myself to visit a Voda-world.

Can someone please resolve this matter?
