Big time ********
Let me begin with the fact that I am utterly disappointed with vodacom. I had moved from cell c to vodacom due to how things are going at cell c and really it was the biggest mistake ever. This is my first contract under my name and I just feel like I got taken for a ride.
1. I got told AFTER my contract was activated that I cannot keep my old cell c number. The reason was I could only keep it if I wanted a prepaid contract. Giving me the option of porting my number wasn’t an option I went back to vodacom the next day to enquire about this and I got told that there was nothing they could do about it because my contract was activated and that I should have been asked to fill out a porting application, wait for it to be accepted and then to start the contract process from there. I had no idea that there was such a thing. Now because there’s nothing that vodacom can do, I’m stuck with a new number which causes such an inconvenience for my work and for actually every single thing in my life. I have to now go to various places and change my number and just hope and pray that no one tried to call me on my old number.
2. My contract options weren’t discussed with me. Just before everything was completed I had to ask how much the contract was what it entailed. I AM A STUDENT, I don’t have thousands of rands just to spend, what if I wanted a cheaper option? The only thing I ACTUALLY got asked, the only thing I ACTUALLY had an option for was how many months I wanted the contract to be.
3. Which service provider chargers you to see your caller identity? Oh wait, yes vodacom does. Firstly you’re taking a lump of my money every month and now you want to charge me extra to see who is calling me? What nonsense is that. Yes it may be a small amount but in the long run R10 can go a long way and nothing new here but I didn’t find out from vodacom. You guys don’t even mention that there is an additional cost for caller identity. I have had to do my research, check with other people etc etc and that is how I found out. Now I have to go to a vodacom store and waste my petrol and money. You play people badly here because who would actually answer an unknown number? No one wants to answer them and you just never know if it’s an emergency or an important call.
You guys just **** people.
You’ll think we all have money and with me personally, I DO NOT! Like I said I’m a student, this is my first contract and I definitely feel like I got taken for ride.
If you’re going to look into this, please email me and do not call because I will not know if it’s you.
