I called Vodacom on 06/05/2015 to open up a contract. First consultant, I waited for the greeting for less that 10seconds, the call got cut. I called again because I really wanted a contract with Vodacom. I opened a top up contract on, it was pleasant to speak with the consultant and was very patient with me. Advised her that I need the phone to use 2 sim cards (my MTN and this new Vodacom sim card). Knowing the Huawei has 2 sim card slots and reads 2 sim cards. I was advised that I don't need to call for sim activation, as soon as I insert it, it will be activated within 24hours.

Someone from the confirmations desk called in the morning, I was very busy at work and asked her to call me back in an hours time. Consultant did not call back, I ended up calling Vodacom again and they said someone would call me back. Next thing I know, I have 3 missed calls from Vodacom. The voicemail that was left was 'Please pick up the next call, otherwise we will be cancelling your order'. Does Vodacom leave a voice message like that to client?? I had to call Vodacom again, my package was eventually delivered 16/05/2016. A day went by, sim card is still not working. 48 hours went by, my cellphone only reads my MTN sim card. I called Vodacom on the 18th, I was told that they can't activate my sim as they were offline, I should call 1 or 2 hours later. I called on the 19th and was advised that the sim card was activated on the 16th and should be working. I advised the consultant that it was not working, she told me to remove the sim card for 5hours and insert it later. I inserted the sim card this morning, still was not reading my Vodacom sim card. When calling today, the consultant made me do the excersise of removing all sim cards, restart the phone with no luck of reading my Vodacom sim card. He ended up asking me to visit the nearest Vodacom shop so they can see whats wrong with the sim. At Vodacom, they advised me that the Huawei P8 lite only reads one sim card. Only MTN and Cell C cellphones reads 2 sim cards. The very first call I stated I have an MTN that I will be using with Vodacom. With all consultants I was speaking with, no one said anything about the P8 lite from Vodacom only reads one sim card. When contacting Vodacom for cancellation, consultant could not speak for any of the ones I spoke with earlier on. A request for the device to be collected was done sucessfully. Misinforming me, the service when following up, consultants giving me the run around for sim card activation, only to find that Vodacom's Huawei P8 lite only reads one sim card - service from the beginning was disappointing, however I gave Vodacom numerous chances to better their service.

Furthermore, when taking the contract I was told that there would be no sim card connection fee. The debit order that would go off my account is R189, only to notice today that the debit order that went off was R286.

I've been a Vodacom customer before, have never given them any problems (no returned debit orders). MTN has been giving me issues and thought I would move to Vodacom and eventually port my number, but that is not happening anymore
