Beyond Frustrated

I was due for a upgrade on 15.08.2016, I phoned Vodacom customer care and they informed me it would be easier and much quicker to do it over the phone by phoning ********** . ( in the past I have always done my upgrades at the Vodashops without any problems). So I did as they suggested and phoned the upgrade department, they where right it was quick and easy.... until I all of a sudden I started receiving a bill. When I did the upgrade I told the lady that I spoke to that my contract must stay exactly the same the "you choose more 2 gig" plan (a top up contract) . Now I find out afterwards that they went ahead and without my approval changed the contract to a "you save more 2 gig" plan, wich is an open line plan where they start billing you when your data or minutes run out. When I upgraded I told the women about 10 times during the conversation that nothing must change and that I must still be able to top up my account as I use quite alot of data. She said nothing will change and that in fact my monthly debit order will now be cheaper as it will be dropping from R700 a month to R350 a month. On the open line they charge you R2 per meg of data that you use so how the hell would that have been cheaper. This is blatantly lying to a customer. I have been trying to get this issue sorted out with Vodacom since last Friday 08.09.2016, have probably spoken to 20 different people, have been transferred from one department to the next and have received no results. I have been promised numerous times that someone will phone me back and so far I have recived not one single call. What do you have to do to get your problem adressed? And the worst part is you cannot even speak to the same person and have a go at them for not sorting out your query as you phone a call centre with hundreds of people working there and to them you are just a telephone number. I really tought that when Vodacom brags about being the leading Cellular service provider in South Africa they meant it, but obviously I was greatly mistaken. I am very very dissapointed.

Oh and I forgot to add that they told me that the amount payable will be R350 per month and that is what I paid at the end of last month only to find out that I have now been handed me over to the Pre - Legal department because of a short payment of R7.95. This is utter ridiculousness. It is not even as if the amount is overdue. Vodacom is useless

Morning Cassandra,

Thank you for the speedy feedback and the resolution to my problem, just goes to show that if one person actually takes the time and makes the effort it does not have to take a week, 20 phone calls, upset clients and bad reviews to sort out a problem.

Thank you
