Beware Vodacom "Content Services" extracting money from your account, and a Vodacom Bot that cares diddly squat for real problem solving

Dear Customer Care

On my phone account (****) I see that I have been signed up for a content service for the last two months or so. The service was charging R7.00 per day and was titled "greencoupon".

I did not sign up for this. I have never heard of these people. This is clearly *****. Vodacom sent me an SMS about this for the first time yesterday and I cancelled immediately and blocked all Content Services on all devices.

Unless you can demonstrate that I specifically agreed to this service, please Pay me Back the Money **********ly extracted from my account without my consent.

I'm absolutely exhausted by the sheer quantity of spam calls (19 out of 20 calls received) and messages that you have allowed to penetrate the system for which I pay very large amounts each month.

After 25 years with Vodacom I'm close to moving as I don't have the time to fight every attack on my privacy and customer rights. You should manage your ecosystem better rather than just extracting profit at the cost of a fully (over) paid service.

Thank you for listening.

Oh yes, and your bot services sans humans really don't allow any kind of real problem solving to happen.

It is basically an attitude of "Consult the manual" and we as Vodacom don't care squat if you take hours to follow dead ends.

No detectable response from Vodacom despite my immediately responding to their emailed request for verification of my original request. Nada. No email. Nothing. I'm assuming that their Bot wrote all the automated responses above. Cancelling my one contract now.

After an in-person visit to the Vodacom centre at Woodlands Boulevard from where we logged a further call after a lot of jumping up and down, this issue has now been resolved to my general satisfaction. Thank you Vodacom.
