Beware of vodacom roaming

<p>My wife set her phone to roaming before leaving SA and got an SMS that it was on roaming. Now she is in London and it can not receive or send SMS s or communicate with her bank, so she can not do internet banking.</p> <p>Vodacom say:</p> <p>1) it is on roaming, (sms before she left)</p> <p>2) it is not on roaming,</p> <p>3) it is on roaming,</p> <p>4) a managerwill call me back, but they do not,</p> <p>5)They are not prepared to even try to reset her roaming status. </p> <p>6)She must send her phone / sim back to SA from London to reset the roaming and then send it back to London.</p> <p>Vodacom also warned me that one can get a R50'000.oo bill if you are on roaming and they download data without your knowledge.</p> <p>So if you are not careful your roaming could be cut off you could lose your banking and then get a R50'000. bill when you return.</p> <p> </p>
