BEWARE OF THIS ******** ORGANISATION CALLED VODACOM

On 23 August 2021 I called Vodacom and cancelled a cellphone contract I had with them. The last subscription was to go off at the end of September 2021. Further, I was advised by the Vodacom call centre agent that the call would be recorded.

To my surprise, I have been contacted by HP Attorneys, informing me that Vodacom has handed my account over to them for collection. Apparently Vodacom claims that I have defaulted payment of subscriptions.

I have tried to call numerous times but am not getting any assistance from their call centre. I have asked them to listen to the record of my call on 23 August 2021 but did not succeed.

This is a **** that Vodacom and its call centre agents are using to threaten and rob people of their hard earned money.

This useless Vodacom representative (Luyanda) called me and was unable to assist with my query. He was not interested in resolving my issue but to defend Vodacom's failure to cancel my contract as requested telephonically in August 2021. Even after I had given him the details of the call I made in August 2021, he told me that there is no record available. This according to him means I did not make the call. Funny enough, it is Vodacom's responsibility to record calls. I therefore cannot be held responsible if their employee failed to record my call. Furthermore, my itemised bill for August 2021 shows that I called Vodacom, as well as the duration of the call. The itemised billing was received from Vodacom.
