Beware of ******* Sim Swaps with this company

May 2017 - received massage for a sim swap after 6pm (after normal business hours) to MTN Phoned Vodacom 3 times in half an hour giving instructions that the sim swap is not my request and because it happened on 2 previous occasions I was adamant that sim swaps on my phone number only to take place during normal business hours AND in my presence. During all three calls I was assured that the sim swap would not go through and that their computer system was flagged to stop a sim swap. Long story short, during early morning hours after the three calls, R148k was ****** out of 2 ABSA accounts. I am convinced that someone in their staff is working with a syndicate that ***** customers money. Vodacom refuses to accept responsibility for the theft and no matter how they reason, if they heeded my instructions, the swap would not have taken place and no theft could have been done. They now do not even reply to any of my communication. If you get an SMS foer a sim swap from Vodacom to any other network that you have NOT requested, stop your internet bank accounts immediately as they will ***** your money
