Beware of accounting system
<p>Our son's Vodacom account has been a problem since October 2015. A statement was requested from the call centre, which shows the account being up to date as at 18 September. Payments were made each month expect December, where two payments were then made in January 2016. (just in case this is the response to ward of my complaint) Since then each month is the same, he is told the account is in arrears with 2 months, and cut off. Trying to get hold of anyone other than the contact centre has been impossible, agents dont understand the accounting system, they are there to collect money, and rude about it. We have asked how its possible for us to "recreate" their account statement received via email (***), and each time a new statement is sent to us, showing double the premium owed, and does not correspond to the statement dated October 2015. When questions are raised regarding this ... my question are ignored.</p> <p>Vodacom clearly has no curtomer retention program, or none that we have been referred to, in dealing with such queries. We certainly are not in the income bracket of putting up a sign along Beyers Naude drive as a previous disgruntled client of a Cellphone provider did. Cant wait for the contract to come to an end in 3 months time, and I am cheekily told "The account must be up to date to submit a cancellation" Frustration reigns with no answers as to why there is a different statement on hand. I am not in the league to "reproduce" false statements, which is the underlying message to me, makes anyone feel like a "Valued client"</p>
