Being ****med with vodacom tablet and data contract to unknown adisional charges

Okay firstly I feel totally conned here. A guy from vodacom phoned me selling me data 2gig for R109 with a tablet from vodacom. Then he talked about this so music and safetybox ect. I REMEMBER CLEARLY ASKING HIM 3 TIMES that I will not pay more than the R109 for data each month and he told me I will only pay for the extras ie safetybox and so music IF I Subscribe to them which I DID NOT!! i have received to correspondence from anyone except this so music and safety box sms stating my order is being processed. Now reading all this problems with these nonsense I can see there is going to be a problem. I have send mail to both these places dont think about debiting my account with anything as I have subscribed or ordered NOTHING. This goes for Vodacom as well keep your tablet and your data. Your consultant neil said I have 21 days to cancell if I am not happy I have done it in under 24 hours

Duress, *****, Impossibility of Performance, and Impracticability

It is also important to remember that a contract entered into by force, or threat of force, can be legally voided. Further, if someone deliberately misrepresents material portions of the contract, that constitutes *****, and you have the right to cancel the contract, as well as sue the ********** party for damages.

Hi Rashieda,

Yesterday a guy phoned me, the whole time he spoke it sounded as if he worked for Vodacom. I normally do not take these calls but he told me that I could pay R109 per month with a Vodacom tablet and 2Gig data. So that is the contract he offered me from Vodacom R109 pmonth 2gig data and a Vodacom tablet. He then started talking about the Safetybox where you could save all your stuff and so music for downloads etc. I told him 3 times I am not going to pay for extra I am only going to pay for the R109 per month data. He them confirmed that I only need to pay for the so music and the safetybox once I use that service and when I subscribe to it. Last night I received 2 sms’s from so music and safetybox that my orders are being processed? I then googled this and to my surprise A LOT of people complained about these 2 companies deducting money from their account and they have never even heard from them. There was one guy saying his wife was sold a contract from Vodacom for data and tablet (which was exactly the same with me) and now these companies deduct 2 x R49 per month and they don’t know what for.

This morning I phoned so music and safetybox and Letitia from so music informed me that the sales agent Brandon Akabukha from ELITE MOBILE requested these services to be activated. This is not right not once did this Brandon tell me he was not from Vodacom he spoke as if he was after I specifically told him that I WILL NOT PAY FOR THAT SERVICE OR USE IT he went and apply for activation. This is misrepresentation on his part. This is not Vodacom’s fault but many people do see it like that because he talks like his from Vodacom.

I have cancelled these 2 subscriptions I have phoned elite mobile and cancelled this order and will in the future be more vigilant and just ignore all sales pitch as I have done most of the time.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter
