29 May 2026, 16:20I am lodging this complaint due to the ongoing difficulties I have experienced with Vodacom in attempting to cancel my contract and obtain a paid-up letter.
Since March 2026, I have made multiple payments based on the amounts provided to me, yet the matter remains unresolved and new outstanding balances continue to arise without clear explanation.
This situation is unacceptable. Each time I settle an amount communicated to me, a new and unexplained balance is introduced. Furthermore, I was previously told that my contract could not be cancelled due to outstanding amounts, yet it has now been cancelled while a balance is still being claimed. This inconsistency raises serious concerns.
I am requesting urgent resolution of the following:
I trust this matter will be addressed promptly, as I am no longer willing to engage in repeated attempts to resolve conflicting information.
Since March 2026, I have made multiple payments based on the amounts provided to me, yet the matter remains unresolved and new outstanding balances continue to arise without clear explanation.
- On 17 March 2026, I was advised to pay R408, which I did and submitted proof of payment. No response was received.
- On 20 April 2026, I was informed that the payment had not been updated, and I was required to pay an additional R62.32, which I paid immediately.
- On 07 May 2026, I was then told I owed approximately R500, which was described as a “new premium.” A supervisor call-back was promised but never occurred.
- On 18 May 2026, I was assured that my contract would be cancelled and that a refund would be processed.
- Most recently, I have been advised that my contract has been cancelled, but I now allegedly owe approximately R900, and I am not eligible for any refund.

I am requesting urgent resolution of the following:
- A full and detailed statement of account from March 2026 to date;
- Confirmation of all payments made and received;
- A credit for any amounts outstanding post March 2026.
- Confirmation that my contract has been correctly cancelled;
- Issuance of a paid-up letter.
I trust this matter will be addressed promptly, as I am no longer willing to engage in repeated attempts to resolve conflicting information.
