BEING FORCED TO RENEW A CONTRACT WITH A HANDSET
On Tuesday the 12/05/2015 I walked into a Vodacom 4U store inquiring about my contract term. I was then greeted by Lindi Ngwenya who then checked and confirm that indeed my contract was due for a renewal. I expalined to her that i would like to have a dual sim handset because I have 2 sim cards. She then recommended that I take the Samsung Grand Neo because it is a dual sim card handset. Acting upon her recommendation I then decided to take the handset.
Just before I left I decided to open the handset box and to my surprise the handset is not a dual sim as per the consultant. I then indicated that my upgrade defeats the whole purpose so i would like to cancel the upgrade.
To my surprise she tells me that she cannot cancel the upgrade that was done less than 30 minutes ago. Now, must i pay for a handset that i wont use for 24 months just because Vodacom has already accumulated their commision? She tells me who must pay the upgrade admin fee, how is that any of my problem? Vodacom please clarify for me.Must pay for your consultants mistakes or laziness to inquire more about the handsets that she sells to customers on daily basis?
