Being debited for data ****le I cancelled long ago. No STATEMENTS, No Communications

Subject: Urgent: Resolution Required for Account I*** Dear Vodacom Customer Service, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my frustration and seek urgent resolution regarding my Vodacom account mentioned above. I cancelled this data ****le years ago. Despite this, I have recently started receiving emails indicating that my account is in arrears. To provide some context, my family and I have been living in Australia for the past 18 months. Since September, I have been receiving emails about my account being in arrears without any prior statements or correspondence indicating that I would be charged. I have responded to these emails but have not received any replies. Additionally, I have attempted to resolve this issue through live chat on the Vodacom website and by calling, but to no avail. Given the significant time difference and my permanent relocation, it is extremely inconvenient and frustrating to deal with this matter. I was unaware that Vodacom was still debiting my account, especially since I had cancelled my ABSA bank account upon moving permanently to Australia. I am particularly frustrated with the lack of transparency regarding email statements. When I cancelled my account in May for number ***, I explicitly informed the agent of my emigration and was assured that all my affairs were in order. It is disappointing that this issue was not identified and resolved at that time. Had I been notified in September when cancelling my bank account that there might be an issue, this situation could have been avoided. I request that this matter be escalated and thoroughly investigated. Specifically, I need confirmation of the cancellation of account I*** and a full refund of any charges incurred post-cancellation. Alternatively, please cancel account I*** and clear any outstanding balance. Please also note that I have spend a lot of time on customer care call on 12 November and were sent from customer care, to cancellations to after sales and then back to cancellations and just got cut off. 25minutes on a call which were no help at all. I was hoping to get it resolved today and to add oil to fire I got cut off. I was told that I need to pay outstanding balance in order for the account to be cancelled. Its absurd to be honest, the accounts needs to be put on hold until resolved. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution otherwise I will be lodging complaint on HelloPeter and social media platforms.
