********* behavior
I regret having a cellphone contract with Vodacom. Your problems start the day, you wish to end the contract with them. My troubles started at the end of October last year when I initially called to cancel due to no longer needing a contract. I was then advised that I would need to call back at the end of November as the 30 day notice will only then kick in. Fine, I was okay with that, as that was their process. Fast forward to the end of November, I call back and request cancelation of my contract. The agent I dealt with, advised that the cancelation was initiated and I would receive a confirmation via sms once it has gone through. After 10 days, I call back as I had not received any confirmation, only for the agent now dealing with my call to say that no cancelation request was initiated on my account. I obviously lose my mind whilst on the call and request that the agent process my cancelation whilst I'm on the call as I would not be paying for any contract after the payment due at the end of December, as this was confirmed to me at the end of November. She then processes the cancelation and apologizes profusely for the inconvenience caused. A few days later I get confirmation that the cancelation has been processed and that my final payment will be due on the 1st of January. On the 2nd of January, my final installment goes off, all my problems should be solved right? Wrong! I work in the Financial Sector and because of that I stay on top of my finances and that includes my credit score. Today, I log in and see that Vodacom has listed that I am 1 month in arrears after I have NEVER missed a payment with them! All of this, is now happening because I refused to continue with a contract that I no longer needed! I need this sorted ASAP. If not, I will be seeking legal counsel.
