Begging to give my money away

Ubelievably, I have been trying get Vodacom to debit my account, as they have been for the last alsmost 20 years since the 3rd of June. Supposed to debit on the 1st, did not present (I had funds in my account and all other debits went thorugh). When, by the 3rd, the money had still not been collected I phoned. Was told they had no idea why the debit didn't go through, I must pay manually, which I refused, spoke to supervisor who promised debit had been submitted for the 8th. By the 7th I received a message stating that I must make arrangements to pay my account, I phoned. This time was told that I never contacted them before to make arrangements, long story short, they will submit for the 13th. It's the 14th... Phoned again. Then asked if I made sure by checking my bank balance, like I'm an idiot. When I took offence, phone put down in my ear. Phoned back, twice. Finally was told that the debit order did go off... it didn't - my statement confirms this. Still awaiting details from "back-office" who was going to confirm who I spoke to on the 3rd. (The phonecall which according to collection I didn't make.) Apparently, the recordings are confidential and I can't get it. Recorded for my protection, my ....! I absolutely dispise Vodacom, their service has gone to hell ina handbasket. I'm a Financial Service Provider. I may not have unpaid debits reflecting on my credit rating. Thank you Vodacom for not only making me once again, feel like a powerless number in your organisation, but possibly *****ing up my chances for future employment. I know you will continue on as always, without any concerns for us mere customers, just hope you sleep at night. Oh and by the way, the time spent holding for your call centres - ridiculous!! Added to that the amoungt of time the agenst put you on hold for to "check stuff" ALSO ridiculous! Awful awful awful! Can't stand the thought that I'll be tied into a contract and can't move away from your company, but this is your whole schtick, isn't it?
