Been billed for old and new handest

On the 22.10.2016 after seeing via the Vodacom App I could upgrade, I upgraded. I was informed by the consultant that at the end of October I would pay my usual amount but thereafter my debit would change to my new amount which happens to be less. At the end of November I was billed R300 more than I should have been. I called the Vodacom help line and was told that the debit was correct because I upgraded on my 22nd month and still owed 2 months on my old hand set. I then went to the Vodacom shop at our Mall where I upgraded. The consultant told me plus printed my doc's showing there shouldn't have been any additional billing. I then spoke to the branch manager who out right said I still have 2 months left to pay on my old handset and Vodacom was correct to bill me for two handsets. I was never informed this would happen, otherwise I would have waited the two months out. I know a lot of people who have been with Vodacom for many years and they all upgrade prior to their 24th month and have never ever been billed for their old handset. My mother in law been one of them upgraded just before I did, no old handset billing. To add to this, I was awarded 10gig's data, plus R10000 worth of on-line study voucher, I received the data but to this day I'm still waiting for my study voucher. Then Vodacom went and gave me a further 10gig's data out of error, but I decided not to complain because of the additional billing I was receiving. Both the first and second lot of data was valued till 15.09.2020 according to *111#, but Vodacom on the 01.01.2017 decided to take all 19.38gig's I had left, now I have no data, no study voucher and I'm about to pay the second lot of R300 for my old handset.

Hi Kulsoem

Thank you for your call on Tuesday 03.01.2017.

You did mention to me that the actual owner of the Vodacom shop in question was going to make contact with me to discuss the part of the old handset debit issue. Its Sunday 08.01.2017 and I haven'y received a call or an email yet.

Regards

Norman

Hi Kulsoem

Its Saturday 14.01.2017, no contact was made by the Vodacom shop owner, no call or email.

But, however, Vodacom did change my debit order for the end of December, so I only paid for my new handset.

Thanks to all involved.

Regards

Norman
