Be Warned - Tobi Chatbot Sim Swaps
The Vodacom chatbot is not that secure. On Sunday afternoon I was in my kitchen baking, when I suddenly saw R5 airtime being bought on my account more than 25 times - when I tried to phone my bank to stop this I had no network. When I got through to Vodacom I was informed that someone had done a sim swap of my sim that was in my phone in my possession through the Vodacom Tobi chatbot - when I asked Vodacom how this was possible I was told there were a few questions that needed to be answered on the chatbot before the sim swap can be completed. I asked what questions they have to answer. When last you top up, How long have you used this number How much airtime did you have. I was told it must be someone close to me that tried to do the sim swap. All I can say is be WARNED - nobody close to me knows when I top up, how much I top us for or how long I have had this number, I don't check my daily airtime balance. Maybe those answers can only come from within Vodacom as its only you and I that know what the answers are. Read between the lines..... Who's leaking your information
