Be careful of after sale contracts

I purchased a laptop through Vodacom in 2020 that included 5GB per month. A monthly payment of R353 app****. Unfortunately the laptop did not have the Specs needed for my business. I returned it the very next week. Since the after sale purchase coincided with the upgrade of my new phone, I did not realize that Vodacom kept deducting the R353 per month. Since we're immigrating to New Zealand I contacted Vodacom in order to cancel all my contracts. I was very surprised to learn that they never cancelled the deduction. The consultant confirmed that they will cancel with immediate effect and refund me on all the payments. I contacted Vodacom a couple of weeks later since I did not receive any refund or feedback with regards to my query. I spoke to Kholile who informed me that Vodacom was planning to refund me via credit. I explained to her that this won't help since I'm immigrating. She said that she will change the method of payment to my bank account and that I need to wait another couple of weeks before the request will be processed. I have not received any feedback whatsoever or a refund. This is a service provider that is eager to let you know if you are in arrears with payments, but not willing to act with the same urgency if they are at fault. I would appreciate it if this matter can be handled at the soonest.
