BE ACCOUNTABLE: TELL THE TRUTH AND STICK TO YOUR WORD.

This is my last plea for help.

I have been a Vodacom customer for 5+ years. Yes, I have had issues with them before but nothing beats the absolute frustration and disappointment I am experiencing right now.

I upgraded my phone online. The advertised price for the device & plan came to R409 per month over 24 months. The device also comes with a "free" smart watch, R150 airtime, 2GB data and 25sms.

I thought "Yay! How progressive of Vodacom to offer its clients such a brilliant deal".

I then opted to include insurance for R255, as I always purchase my devices with insurance. Grand total to be R670.99.

I then received CONFIRMATION ON EMAIL for the device AND the plan at R409 and that delivery will be taking place during a weekday between 8am - 5pm.

I was happy, excited and looking forward to my new phone.

My excitement was short-lived.

I received an sms stating that my monthly installments would be R2044. Which is three times more than the amount that I agreed to. The amount Vodacom advertised and confirmed.

Of course I got on the phone to try clear it up.

Having spoken to 7 consultants on Friday (09/04/2021/) who kept referring me to different departments, then 2 yesterday (12/04/2021), and a further visit to a Vodacom Store today - were we then called customer service who then referred us to another department that cut the call...

I am beyond ****ed off.

I have proof that the deal was available at the price that I saw it at. Why can I not get it at that price?? Why will Vodacom not honour the pricing that THAT THEY ADVERTISED AND CONFIRMED??

The feedback I have received is: - You would still have to pay for your current handset for the next 2 months - That deal is too good to be true, it doesn't exist - Sorry m'am, I can't see the price on my system - That deal was a system error - I can only tell you what I'm seeing on the system - You have 2 sets of insurance on the system, if you cancel one the amount will be less - Unfortunately that deal is not available, you'll just have to cancel it but you first need to speak to the "Online Department".

All of this is unacceptable.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SPEAK TO THE ONLINE DEPARTMENT AND GET MY PHONE ACCORDING TO WHAT WAS ADVERTISED.

Vodacom, take accountability for the deals and offers that you make to people! Or at least come up with a better solution than "Sorry m'am, I don't know what to tell you."
