Basic phone etiquette

Vodacom has a terrible call Centre and the calibre of their employees in the call Centre seems to be very low. The reason I say this is because I called their call Centre to enquire about an upgrade on my fiancé's contact phone. Instead of being greeted by a happy call Centre agent I was not greeted at all, what proceeded was me being muted everytime I got through to an agent. And when someone did greet they then proceeded to drop the call without hearing why I called. When I called back I was again repeatedly muted and nobody seemed to care in the call Centre. In the last call I made to Vodacom I could hear woman having a conversation with each other and not give 2 hoots that a customer was on the line. This is so frustrating as my fiancé needs a new phone and vodacoms employees don't seem to value basic customer service. The basic principles of having a successful business is delivering great customer service, but it seems that Vodacom, who are supposedly the largest cellphone network in South Africa have failed
