Bad service Vodacom Fibre
I canceled my Fibre in February 2023. I decided to re-activate it at the beginning of August I was given different versions by numerous consultants on how that would pan out, some said it was a reactivation and some a new fibre would need to be installed by Vumatel.
On 10 Aug an order was confirmed and I was advised that Vumatel would contact me within 3 weeks max. To date, over a month later nothing has been done. I have made numerous follow-up calls, and emails and everyone said that this would be escalated.
I was also told that my address on their system was a street address only and provided them with multiple proof of addresses. How did they install the initial fibre?
To top this, with all the sales calls we receive 365 days a year, a Vodacom sales consultant contacted me to try and make a sales pitch regarding data. I told her I was not interested as Vodacom provides bad service. She actually had the nerve to say that other clients wait for 3 months.
Why would anyone want to use such a service provider who thinks they are a monopoly & there aren't options in the market?
Think before you buy from Vodacom, their service is bad!!!!!
- Activation and Follow-Up: Despite assurances that Stephan would follow up on the activation of my service, no action has been taken. Furthermore, my request to have the service activated under the R399 promo has been ignored, and the person who referred Stephan has not followed through.
- Additional Router: The provision of an extra router has led to an unnecessary Vumatel relocation issue, which I consider irrelevant. This has not only caused inconvenience but may also incur additional costs that I should not be responsible for.
- Inconsistent Information: I have made three calls this month, and each consultant provided different and conflicting information. This lack of consistency is unacceptable and adds to the frustration of an already prolonged issue.
- Router Delivery Issues: The router delivered did not come with a plug, and an incorrect DSL cable was provided. This is not a matter of a simple replacement but a fundamental failure in delivering a complete and functional product.
The most recent suggestion to complete a sales order for the same third router is baffling. Why should I continue to receive the same router repeatedly? This is a clear indication of a systemic issue within Vodacom Fibre that needs urgent attention.
